🛠️ Open October Build Session #1 Recap
Our first build session brought together new and returning contributors to share updates and project ideas.
At our latest VibeCoding session, developers are bringing ideas to life with a shared mission: build tools that empower community. Here are a few standout projects in the works:
📜 Woodbridge Community Blog
One attendee is building a neighborhood news blog using Markdown and Git, preserving local stories and surfacing historical context around urban renewal and development.
📚 Community Book Club App
Another builder is developing an app for a neighborhood book club—designed to operate with the community in mind. It’s a perfect Barefoot Dev use case: local tech that strengthens social fabric.
🏛️ Local Politics Transparency Tool
A third project focused on demystifying local politics. The goal? Make information around policies, representatives, and civic decisions more accessible and actionable.
These projects are more than code—they're blueprints for community power. Stay tuned as we support and share progress from each.
